ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management System)

Training Background

The new version of ISO 14001 focuses on improving environmental performance rather than improving the management system itself. It also includes several new updates all aimed at making environmental management more comprehensive and relevant to the supply chain. One major update asks organizations to consider environmental impacts over the entire life cycle, although there is no requirement to actually complete a life cycle analysis. In addition, top management commitment and compliance evaluation methods have also been strengthened. Another significant change relates ISO 14001 to the general management system structure, introduced in 2015, which is called the High-Level Structure.
